MARKPROF CamSur Roadshow

Every year, MarkProf Foundation searches for the 25 most promising graduating college students who want to pursue careers in Marketing and Sales. After a long and stringent screenng process of business simulations, interviews and case studies, these lucky few are offered an exceptional means for jump-starting their career via a prestigious free-of-charge Marketing Leadership Bootcamp where they would get unparalleled training from the country’s most renowned corporate leaders and entrepreneurs.

This bootcamp is held for 7 consecutive Saturdays, each covering 3 to 5 sessions on today’s most relevant topics, and offers a competitive, thought-provoking and transformative setting where marketing and leaderships skills are unlocked and developed. The students are also assigned a real-life case study for an actual company, which they would be presenting to an esteemed panel of judges when the bootcamp ends.
To forward this advocacy, MarkProf Foundation decided to conduct a roadshow to reach more aspiring  students and inspire them to do more in their fields as future marketers.
The first roadshow was held at Avenue Plaza Hotel, The Tent, Naga City. The event was facilitated by a pool of student leaders from Ateneo de Naga University led by the current valedictorian of MarkProf Bootcamp, Scud Dy
Scud Dy, MarkProf Valedictoruan
the organizing committee
The CamSur Roadshow was participated by around 500 students, teachers, professionals from different provinces of Bicol.
The Roadshow gave the participants the rare opportunity to listen to some of the top marketers of the Philippines.

feb-IBIG

Mukhang super delayed ang reaction ko sa Valentine's Day. Keri na - ang importante, tinatamaan pa rin ako. HAHAHA. February has been very very very very - UHM (insert word here) - hindi ko alam kung ano yung tamang term - chaotic, baliw, mahirap, masaya - lahat na. February 2012 offered me a lot. One thing about this month - I got to talk to a lot of students and syemps, I got to forward our cause to protect our beloved Mother Earth. PAK!

feb-IBIG highlights:

1. Realized that I'm not ready for COMMITMENT. (Yung about sa puso ah)
Nasaktan lang talaga siguro ako. Pero naghihilom na rin naman. Yun oh! Kasi naman, love is so unpredictable.

2. It's nice to HOHOL someone who is really young, (yung tipong pwede ka ng makasuhan ng child abuse) but its kinda complicated din pala once emotions surface. Nakakatakot. I don't know how to handle this one. A lot of what ifs - bahala na. Natatakot lang talaga akong mahulog ulit - kasi baka wala namang sumalo saakin. (Gumaganon? HAHAHA)

3. Re-affirmed that I'm loved. Finally, Mama and I had the opportunity to give a talk about LGBT. Overwhelming to hear my mom talk about my sexuality without regrets.

4. Up Dharma Down Concert! Oh I love them! :)

5. It's been a year since I met this guy who made my life miserably awesome. Whenever I utter the word pagtataya - siya agad pumapasok sa isip ko. It was a crazy ride with him - but it was all worth it!

6. Thanks to ADNU-SSG for the recognition. 'Twas my secong Gawad SSG. Privileged to share my self to everyone! It has been an awesome year. Keep on changing reality my dear student leaders! :)

7. YES! I got to sing again! Thanks to Ateneo H/S PISTAYM Committee for inviting us! :)

8. Thanks to Starbucks planner for making my life organized.

9. Still forwarding our advocacy to stop mining activities in the Philippines. Hope you signed the petition. Visit www.no2mininginpalawan.com.

University Dress Up Day

Every semester, the Office of the Deputy Academic Vice President organizes the University Dress Up Day. This is one of the formation activities that the university offers to students who wish to be part of the work force in the future. However (most of the time), the University Dress Up Day turns out to be a "mini-fashion show" to students and teachers.

Here's a glimpse of my outfit.

Longsleeves: Penshoppe
Leather bracelet: Penshoppe Accessories
Shades: Ray Ban
Bag:  Vintage from a thrift shop
Shoes: SM Department Store

Sisenta Para Sa Eskwela

In response to the pressing need of students in Cagayan de Oro and Iligan for school supplies, Cienna and I together with the Ateneo Directorate of Student Organizations organized a fund drive dubbed "Sisenta Para sa Eskwela." The proceeds of which will be used to purchase a school kit (pad paper, crayons, pencils, eraser, etc.). Consistent with its title, the project aims to provide each pupil from an identified beneficiary schools a school kit worth sixty pesos.

Cagayan de Oro: 6 elementary schools with 8,452 students and 5 high schools with 4,728 students. Iligan: 6 elementary schools with 7,299 students and 3 high schools with 1,675 students. Grand total of students who are in need of our help is 22,154.  Source: Department of Education

How to HELP?

For every school kit, a donor will be given the chance to write a card to the pupil who'll get it.

Sisenta Para Sa Eskwela booth is open from 4:30PM - 6:00PM at the Xavier Hall.

Let's all help to send Sendong kids back to school.

For more details, please contact the project heads: Cienna Jaucian at 09228120299 or Raffy Magno at 09175237435 or @raffymagno (twitter).

We Can Be Anything

Boom Enriquez from Ninoy and Cory Foundation gave the overview of the project.

Ate Cienna Jaucian, Project Head of We Can Be Anything - Ateneo de Naga

Ignatian Student Leaders.

I gave a talk on the current realities of our Educational System.
The talk revolved around our undying hopes for all the kids who are in need of
classrooms. Shared to the crowd my experience when I was still a struggling student
in our humble place, Siruma, Camarines Sur.

Let's raise funds to build 10,000 classrooms and more!

Check the music video! :) Enjoy helping! Let's keep on touching lives! :)
